Carwash Spares & Repairs – History Carwash Spares & Repairs was established by Ricky Wright in 1998. Ricky had come over to Western Australia after years of running his own carwash in South Australia and noticed the lack of service technicians in WA’s carwash industry. The distance from the eastern states suppliers also meant carwash sites had to wait for their goods to be freighted across the Nullarbor. He decided to put together a one stop shop where carwash owners could purchase top quality parts and chemicals direct also receiving technical advice and repairs.In December 2007 Chris Read purchased the business from Ricky after Ricky had grown the business to the point where a large portion of WA’s carwash sites were using Ricky’s services. Chris Read had been an employee of CarLovers Carwash Pty Ltd for nine years in the roles of Site Manager, Service Manager, and State Manager until CarLovers vacated WA. He then ran four carwash sites for an independent owner before starting his own carwash supplies business early in 2007. A relationship was formed between Carwash Spares & Repairs and Prowash Australia Pty Ltd over these years, where they were assisting each other with new site installations, preventative maintenance services and the distribution of Prowash’s range of soaps, polishes, waxes and spare parts. In July 2009 Carwash Spares & Repairs entered an agreement with Prowash Australia to be the distributor of their Self Serve Equipment and PDQ’s range of automatic carwash’s and also continues to provide quality service, parts & chemicals to Western Australia’s Carwash Industry. |
